Doral Wins Contract for Maryland Dental Program
Incumbent Administrator Awarded Contract that Encompasses 450,000 Million Lives
Mequon, WI - January 30, 2009 - Doral Dental USA, the nation's leading multi-state administrator of government dental programs, currently serving more than 11 million members in 24 states and the District of Columbia, today announced that it has received a contract award from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) to operate the Maryland Medicaid Dental Benefits Administrator contract.

On January 29, 2009, Doral was selected as the winning bidder for a five-year contract to manage the DHMH dental program. The dental benefits manager (DBM) is responsible for maintaining an compliant dental provider network, paying provider claims and providing member and outreach services for more than 450,000 children enrolled in the program.
"The selection of Doral to administer the DHMH dental program is the first step in a partnership that is improving the oral health of the people of Maryland," said Pollock. "This decision clearly benefits the people of Maryland because Doral is the most experienced and most capable organization to manage this program."
Doral holds direct contracts to administer statewide dental programs in Tennessee, Virginia, Illinois, Massachusetts and Idaho.
