Children with diabetes have significantly more dental plaque and more gingival inflammation than children without diabetes. This leads to higher chances of systemic complications. Doral's Sweet Tooth wellness program educates providers and diabetic members about the unique aspects of good oral health care. The overall goal of Sweet Tooth is to get diabetic members the care they need before they have costly complications.
